Mom sent this to Heather in the mail the other day.
I thought is was cool that she was inspired to put her thoughts about Heather to paper and send it to her.
Here is her poem.
Today we went to Climb Time as part of Makenna’s birthday party.
We all had a pretty fun time. Gina and I were belaying for the girls.
I went and got a harness after I saw how much fun they were having.
I enjoyed it except for repelling back down. Gina left a little too much slack in the rope for my comfort. It felt like you could fall at any minute.
This weekend we met up with Jake’s clan and went camping at the Riverbend camp grounds. The Weather was perfect and we managed to get two spots right on the river.
Jake was already set up and had drowned a few worms friday evening by the time we got there.
I started setting up our new tent and found out that the zipper to the front was broken right out of the box.
I was able to McGiver a temp fix with a fishing hook, a fishing weight and some fishing line.
I guess the Cub Scouts Finally paid off.
Hound Stock
The Carmel High School put on a concert with all the local high school bands jamming. They all tried to play as many songs as they could in their time slot.
Bailey’s boyfriend was the drummer in one of the bands. They managed to get in 4 songs I think. They were pretty good. I was impressed with the number of high school bands playing
Bailey made her own shirt for the occasion.
Goof'n Around
The girls were playing around this weekend and put on a bit of a show. They danced and lip synced to Michel Jackson to Hip Hop. It was pretty entertaining.
Heather's 10th Birthday
Heather’s 10th birthday was Sat May 2nd. We had a party for her and I also let her invite two of her girlfriends over to spend the night. She ended up having three girls over plus Makenna. That meant we had four screaming girls in the house.
They had a good time playing hide and seek, Guitar Hero, and just rocking out to the stereo. They also painted sun catchers and we watched Hotel for Dogs and the movie Bolt.
Michelle's Visit
Michelle came back to Indy today to run in the Mini Marathon. I think she said it was her tenth year doing it. It was good to see her. I think it has been over a year since I last saw her.
We all met up tonight at Fionn MacCooly’s Irish pub in fishers. I had a couple Guinness. Which hit the spot after a frustrating day at work. Robert, Jill, Cindy, and Jack were able to join us. It was great to sit around and talk about the good old days at the Gaming Commission
