Heather’s Accident

Heather had an accident on her bike this afternoon.
Gina and Makenna and I had just sat down for Sunday dinner and I had just taken my first bite of food when Tammy called.
She was crying and upset. She said Heather had wrecked her bike and that her eye was swollen shut and she had two big cuts under her eye.

Gina and I met them at the emergency room.
Heather wasn’t in any pain but she was more upset about having to have stitches.
They did a CT scan to make sure she didn’t have any fractures. That all came back good.
Heather did end up having seven stitches total. Two for the lower cut and 5 for the big cut.
Everybody was great to her at the hospital. The Doctor that stitched her up was real good with her and so was the nurse.

They gave Heather a sedative to help calm her before the stitches. It started working a little before and during the stitch up.
But it really kicked in when Tammy got her home. Tammy texted me to say we a have drunk ten year old. Heather called me and it was funny listening to her talk. She was definitely loopy and not feeling any pain.
