Some of the guys from work and I went to play paint ball today at white river paintball . I had never played before. Scott had a membership which helped with out paint cost. I upgraded to the warrior package which gave me a gun that looked like an AR15, and never jams. That is a good thing because a few of the guys where having gun issues.
They had several types of fields. Jungle setting, Airfield, urban setting with buildings and broken down cars. This place put on the war games right.
Beaches of Normandy was one of the funest games they had. They loaded us up in conatiners like the ships landing on the beach. The other team where on mounds on the other side of the field. They dropped the gates and we had to storm the field and try to take a flag in the middle.
Couple of the guys had smoke bombs and at the end of the timed play set them off for smoke cover. The first game we got the flag. But the second game was no luck. I got shot seven times in the back trying to retreat with the flag until I finally surrendered.
I also took sever head shots, and gave a few during the games. The balls didn’t hurt as bad as I thought they would. That could be because we were busy playing. I did have several welts all over my body. Especially my back from the Normandy game.
I think we all had a blast playing it. It took us back to our childhood when we all use to play war games in the yard as a kid.
