After we got back from horse back riding, we decided to walk back into town and try some of the local food.
We found a little roadside place the had some of the locals eating at it. My thoughts are if the locals eat there then it must be ok.
We walked in and tried to speak to the people there but there was a language barrier again. We looked thru the menu and it seemed ok so we sat down.
The owner came over this time to talk to us an he could speak OK English. He told us the special today was tilapia, and I remembered seeing him in the local market earlier in the day. So it had to be fresh.
We had it grilled with garlic. It was so good. Even the veggies and rice were good smothered in garlic. This meal was way better than the previous night’s meal at the hotel. And it was only $20 or 10000 Colones including tip.
After we had been back at the room awhile, I told Gina we needed to go back and have another round. It hit the spot after horse back riding today.
