Busch Race 2005

Kroger 200 Race at IRP Aug 6, 2005
Here are some images from our 5th anual Busch Race.
Jake and I have been every year faithfully.

We usually Grill Johnsonville Brats and drink a lot of Miller Lite (2 cases this year).
People in the pictures are Me (Blue Miller Hat), Jake (Red Jr Hat), Tim (Jake’s Dad – Black Hat), Mike (Tan Hat)
The brats were great and the salsa I made was pretty good this year too.
Our seats were OK. Except we thought we had isle seats but we didn’t.
For qualifications we sat in another section, and a big girl sat right next to me. When we sat in our race seats I’ll be damned if I didn’t get stuck next to a really big girl again. The guys really ribbed me on that one. She was 2 seats wide and we were jammed in. Her husband was getting pissed because she didn’t have enough room. Next time buy two seats buddy!
35 laps into the race it started raining and by lap 55 the race was red flagged. We didn’t care. We were not feeling any pain at this point.
We got to chatting with the group in front of us. They were drinking watermelon wine and they were not feeling any pain either.
So we all sat there and got rained on and had a good time.
After an hour and a half delay the race was back on!
Martin Truex Jr. ran away with it, while Tony Stewart spun in front of us and finished at the back of the pack.
Next year we are not getting fooled into thinking seats 1-4 in section 530 are aisle seats!
We will see next year who the 4th ticket is in our group. We have never had a repeat on the fourth person for one reason or another. Mike said he would come again but that’s what they all say!
